/ SINNAN - VOICES OF WATER /
About SINNAN
Named after the Gaelic word for "clear water”, Sinnan channels the essence of fluidity and clarity through sound.
The experience celebrates our fundamental interconnectedness as water-based beings and honors the vibrational relationship between human expression, low-frequency sound, and the natural world.
Through its unique fusion of vocal mandalas and environmental recordings, Sinnan reminds us of our place within Earth's vibrant waterways and our collective consciousness.
This project is in its research and exploration phase. This video is an example of our early work with Cymatics. I am honored to receive support from both CALQ & CAC, along with many talented collaborators.

This project blends human vocals with deep bass frequencies and bioacoustic sounds to create organic soundscapes that resonates on a biological level.
Drawing inspiration from cymatics—the visualization of sound vibrations—and microscopic natural imagery, Sinnan creates a multisensory journey that invites deep introspection. Through its unique fusion of vocal mandalas and environmental recordings,
Sinnan reminds us of our place within Earth's vibrant waterways and our collective consciousness.

About Melting With Allies
Emerging from the urgent call to honor and protect our planet, our bodies, and our collective voice, Melting with Allies aims to raise awareness of the importance of our relationship with the environment and inspire a deeper sense of connection and change.
Through a unique blend of voices and natural soundscapes, this project creates a space of presence for audiences to feel and embrace these elements – water, fire, wind, earth, and the cosmos. By melting with our allies within and around us, we can potentially transform our relationship with the world and inspire a deeper felt connection within the web of life.

About The Human Instrument
The Human Instruments highlights the human voice as a sacred instrument.
This show reveals the deep connection between voice and water—how our sound shapes the waters within and around us. Two Indigenous grandmothers offering prayers in ancestral tongues, their voices echoing as medicine through image and sound.
Human Instrument was originally composed for four vocalists under Rafaelle’s musical direction: an opera singer, an Arabic vocalist, and a beatboxer. It was first performed at the SAT in Montreal, celebrating the diversity of the human voice and the many ways we express through it.
The show was developed in residency, and in 2018, was presented in the Satosphere—a 360° dome offering fully immersive video and surround sound.
