Rafaelle Mackay is a professional vocalist and creative workshop leader. Singing has always been her main passion in life. Her guidance directs you to engage with your breath and voice in a way that is powerful and transformational. Through sound yoga, a technique that uses the voice as a tool, Rafaelle facilitates the optimal alignment and profound connection with your chakra system. She will help you discover your inner vibrational world through vocal improvisation. These guided explorations will reveal your unique inner musical library. Her gift will awaken you into a deeper relationship with yourself, your voice, your breath and your subtle body. About Yoga & Movement with Rachelle :

Rachelle Singh’s fascination with all forms of movement has lead led her down a variety of careers paths ranging from professional circus performer to somatic educator. In 1998, she received her first yoga instructor certification and has since received 16 different yoga certifications. Teachers Rachelle has studied with include Richard Freeman, Angela Farmer, Doug Keller, Patricia Walden and Liz Koch. She continuously learns about the link between emotional landscapes, fascia, the psoas and the nervous system. In addition to teaching yoga and owning two yoga schools (www.satyayogastudios.com), her insatiable curiosity has led her to become a Soma trainer (www.institutsomatraining.com) and MELT method instructor (www.meltmethod.com). She is profoundly grateful to be able to help people resolve pain patterns. Rachelle is an engaging workshop facilitator who weaves a healthy dose scientific knowledge with her infectious sense of humour.

What is a meditative concert?

A meditative concert is where everyone is either laying down or sitting comfortably to receive a sound journey consisting of various melodic, percussive and string instruments in accompaniment with a Rafaelle’s soothing voice. This concert will be dedicated to the new moon, the first new moon in 2019; a perfect time take in the sounds and set new intentions for the coming new cycle.

 

What is Clarity Breathwork?

Most of us don’t breathe fully, we hold back the breath and have been doing so most of our lives. When we start to breathe fully and consciously we are easily able to release what we have been holding and open to an incredible expansion of consciousness, including greater forgiveness and self-love. This inner change brings about shifts in our outer lives for the better.

 

What is Melt Method?

Melt method is a movement and breath system that allows us to experience lasting changes in how our body looks and feels by optimizing and recalibrating all of our internal systems. Expect to learn:

  • To identify where you have stuck stress in your body (a major cause of chronic aches and pains)
  • To use the MELT Hand and Foot Treatment, a unique indirect treatment for your whole body
  • To improve your Body Sense and notice the changes as your body effortlessly finds greater alignment and balance
  • To activate your own core strength and stability
  • To use the MELT Soft Body Roller to rehydrate the tissues of your body for greater mobility and ease of motion
  • To safely and effectively decompress your own neck and low back
  • To relieve common issues like headaches, insomnia, bloating, weight gain, cellulite and more!

 

More info on Rafaelle’s vocal approach?

Rafaelle has been leading Creative Choirs and Sound Yoga for a long while. Her approach in teaching with the voice includes Body Awareness (as our voice is our human instrument), Sensorial Awareness (how our sound effects our inner soundscapes and energetic body), and Presence (being present and grounded when we sing and explore our voice helps maximize our vocal potential). One of Rafaelle’s main strengths is in Vocal improvisation based in a structure inspired by Rhiannon teachings in Vocal river, and Boby Mcferrin’s innovation of vocal improvisations. Opening one’s creativity in serving the music and following one’s own river of Sound.
